Sovereign Bank is an American banking institution. The parent company of the bank is Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. The history of Sovereign Bank goes back to 1902. In 1986 the bank took the name Sovereign and in 1987 Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. was formed. At the present time the bank operates in eight US states. Sovereign Bank has several hundreds of branch offices. The bank provides a vast range of financial services that include retail banking, personal banking, business banking, corporate banking, cash management, capital markets, wealth management, insurance and investment services, and so much more.
